Can my child keep the phone number after the pilot ends?

Yes. The SIM and phone number will remain active after the pilot. After June 30th, 2026 you will be obliged to pay for the SIM usage.

If you ever decide to switch to a different network later, you’re welcome to do that—but you’ll need to arrange the changeover yourself (e.g., porting the number).
