Chirp is designed to detect and block messages, content, and searches that may be harmful such as cyberbullying, compromising imagery that could lead to sexual grooming, or searches for self-harm and suicide-related content. Chirp works at the Android operating system level so it doesn’t rely on specific apps or downloads on your child’s phone; and it cannot be uninstalled by children.
If something is blocked, your child will see a message explaining what happened, and you’ll get a notification.
